Meet Our Founder and Clinical Director

Founded by Amy, Made Knew Mental Health was born from a desire to provide clinically excellent, biblically uncompromising, and culturally diverse care. Amy’s journey as a devoted follower of Jesus, U.S. Army soldier, ministry leader, educator, clinician, and second-generation Nigerian American gives her the unique perspective to hold space authentically and empathetically. Her personal testimony shows that it is possible to walk through life’s deepest challenges and emerge whole.

Amy's Licensure & Approach

Amy is a highly sought out national board-certified Licensed Professional Counselor and Clinical Psychotherapist in Texas. She is trained in EMDR, CBT, and DBT, certified as a premarital and marriage facilitator (SYMBIS & Prepare and Enrich), and trained in the Gottman Method. She is also a certified life and business coach, Christ-centered leader and keynote speaker on biblical, marital and mental health matters.

Amy empowers clients to overcome limiting beliefs and unresolved challenges by providing tools to:

• Strengthen identity and self-awareness

• Reduce stress and emotional overwhelm

• Improve communication and relational skills

• Understand diagnoses and core issues in an approachable way

 

She sees clients in-person in North Richland Hills, TX and via telehealth across Texas.

Amy's Education & Experience

Amy holds a BA in Social Work, Psychology, and Communication Studies from Texas Tech University, a second degree in Biblical Studies with a focus on Women & Children’s Ministry, and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. With over 12 years of experience, she combines clinical expertise with faith and research-informed insight and community-centered care.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys serving her community, laughing with loved ones, decorating spaces, writing and reading, antique shop browsing, and riding her bike — aptly named Providence.
